Located in the heart of Sydney CBD on the bustling Martin Place, the 611sqm site presented a 10-year-old existing fitout. The base brief was overall to brighten up an existing dusky space. It was extremely outdated, dark with no natural light or bright tones.
With a floor plan that gives the workers direct sunlight to their individual chamber’s office, the new space had to feel positive and spacious. The look and feel of the shared space is everlasting and tailored its overall sophistication throughout with edgier elements and attention to the creativity details. A current palette of materials includes: Zenolite, Caesarstone, Spotted Gum natural timber and resilient flooring, that all pair with the complete contemporary look and feel and enhance the client – facing area.
The new office space was constructed over the Christmas shut down period with tight deadlines and restraints. The flexibility of the space through the operable wall ensures longevity of their occupancy within the space. This is not only a sustainable way of thinking, but also allows for space savings methods to be considered within the office for today and for the future.
